Job Description

As a Gilead Intern, you will contribute to high-impact meaningful projects that will not only further advance our company’s mission but will allow you to gain real world experience at one of the most innovative organizations in the world.

You will also have opportunities to participate in special events including professional development and leadership presentations, social / network building activities and local community volunteer programs.

Intern - PDM - Quality AssuranceSpecialist

Foster City, CA

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following :

Completes projects as directed and under the guidance of the Global Quality Assurance Operations Team

Receives guidance from a Quality Manager / Team Lead with tasks while learning Quality specific regulations, processes, and practices

Leads and supports process improvements while interacting with cross-functional teams

Supports updating of regulated documentation for internal Gilead use

Supports quality initiatives as needed and potential business process improvements

Trains on cGMP regulation and internal procedures and applies them to daily activities

Other duties as requested

Preferred Qualifications :

Experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and related software)

Ability to identify issues and seek solutions

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently, when needed

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks

Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication are essential in this collaborative work environment

Required Qualifications :

Must be at least 18 years old

Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8

Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT / OPT through your University.

Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall semester after the completion of the internship.

Must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in undergrad or enrolled in an advanced degree program.

Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August

Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship.

The expected hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $55.00.

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including education level and geographic location.

These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.

Benefits include paid company holidays, sick time, and housing stipends for eligible employees.
