Successful completion of Endoscopy Technician training program within 6 months of hire
Physical Requirements The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time.
The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.
- Shift Three 12-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with call, nights, weekends, & holidays as required per business needs. Job Summary This position will assist the physician (gastroenterologist, pulmonologist, and / or surgeon) in general and advanced endoscopy procedures with a high degree of efficiency;
- position and transport patients; prepare the procedural rooms using clean and aseptic techniques; maintain supplies and materials;
- actively participate in goals of the work unit; and demonstrate excellent customer service. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate must be proficient in basic and advanced endoscopy procedures;
- have direct patient care experience; excellent attention to detail; exceptional planning and organizational skills; effective written and verbal communication skills;
ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; and have experience with materials / resource management. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
