We are looking for a high-performing and strategic Senior Marketing Manager.

The Senior Marketing Manager will lead and oversee a dynamic marketing team, managing all aspects of marketing strategy and execution, including public relations, events, community engagement, brand development, product management, and digital marketing.

This role is responsible for ensuring the cohesive execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth.

The Senior Marketing Manager will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, driving measurable results and optimizing marketing initiatives across various channels.

This is a direct supervisory role, that involves working with third-party marketing partners for execution of some marketing tactics.

This position requires a combination of superior leadership, people management, motivation, and relationship building across our communities in Middle Tennessee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Supervise, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing professionals by providing clear direction, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Allocate resources and assign responsibilities across the team to maximize efficiency and impact.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive marketing strategies across various channels (digital, print, social media, events, etc.).
  • Oversee the creation of content, campaigns, and collateral that align with business objectives and target audience needs.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and creative standards across all marketing materials.
  • Develop and execute a 5-year product roadmap to drive revenue and EBITDA growth across the business.
  • Lead the development of a PR strategy to build and protect the company’s reputation, ensuring positive media coverage.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Draft and review press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
  • Plan and execute communications within the company.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of sales events and community engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure event objectives are met and optimize brand presence.
  • Develop partnerships with local community organizations and chambers of commerce to foster long-term relationships and engagement opportunities.
  • Actively participate in community events and service opportunities and motivates company employees to do so too.
  • Manage United’s scholarship and student ambassador program.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure marketing goals align with overall business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
  • Conduct regular market research to stay informed about ISP industry trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring campaigns and initiatives are executed efficiently and within financial constraints.
  • Make data-driven decisions on resource allocation, prioritizing projects that deliver the highest ROI.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • 5+ years of experience in the telecommunications or ISP industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital marketing, PR, event management, and community engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Salesforce CRM, email marketing platforms, social media management platforms, etc.).
  • Knowledge of the differences between B2B and B2C marketing strategies.
  • Intermediate or advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record and current auto insurance.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and other digital marketing tools.
  • Knowledge of the people and culture of Middle Tennessee.
