Up to $20,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Registered Nurse / RN
POSITION SUMMARY
Professional registered nurse gives direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients after receiving anesthetic agents.
The nurse in the post anesthesia role coordinates the care of the patient, is the patient advocate throughout the post operative experience.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
- Florida R.N. licensure
- Basic Life Support
- ACLS
- PALS (preferred)
Minimum Experience
- One year as a PACU nurse
- One year with ICU / ER experience
Physical Requirements
- Requires walking and standing during most of the time on duty.
- Frequent reaching, handling of instruments and equipment.
- Speaking and hearing essential for relaying of information, receiving doctors orders.
- Visual acuity required to work with records and equipment.
- Frequently lifting 30-50 pounds.
- Works beyond scheduled tour of duty in an emergency.
- Maintains a state of health adequate to perform the duties of the job.
- Possible contact to moving mechanical parts.
- Required to make decisions and concentrate continuously.
- Exposure to temperature extremes moderate.
- Work environment lighting and noise - varies.
- Exposed to stressful and traumatic situations.
- Exposure to toxic / caustic chemicals varies.
