SLR International Corporation is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to work in our Reno, NV or Lakewood, CO office. The newly established Reno office of SLR provides a full range of professional services on a variety of challenging projects that include geotechnical engineering, earthworks and grading, stormwater management design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, environmental remediation and construction quality monitoring.
The Civil Engineer will work under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer to support project managers on planning;
design; permitting; analysis; and preparation of specifications, stormwater calculations, and technical reports for a wide variety of mining and industrial projects.

Job Description Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Zero to five years of experience
- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Possess valid driver’s license.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
- Willing to travel by car and airplane including overnight travel for domestic projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification on track to become a licensed engineer is preferred.

- Demonstrate working knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis software preferred

Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering work for industrial and mining projects
- Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic analysis calculations for storm drainage, wastewater, and water systems
- Calculation of construction and earthwork quantities
- Visit project sites for the purpose of data collection and monitoring, performing investigations and / or performing construction inspection services
- Utilize a variety of computer programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D software to undertake designs and computations
- Write memos and calculation packages to document work performed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Compensation Range :
The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $55, to $90, Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
