Job Summary
The Data Curation Program Manager will guide and facilitate complex, multi-dimensional data and analytics efforts for the data curation program teams that will influence research, clinical operations, and quality improvement initiatives. This role must be proficient in managing healthcare data and analytics programs by applying advanced health informatics concepts and best practices.
The Data Curation Program Manager must have extensive experience in all aspects of planning, design, implementation and data delivery from requirements gathering, analysis and design, validation and quality assurance, through deployment and support of various enterprise level curated data assets.
This position will actively engage with all levels of healthcare clinicians, IT (information technology), and business operations and will work with a high degree of independence and decision-making, including complex problem-solving without precedent / structure. They will guide and facilitate the implementation of data curation programs working with a dedicated team including domain-specific technical analyst(s), clinical and academic system subject matter expert(s), and other IT teams as needed.

Department Overview
The UC Davis Health Data Provisioning Core (DPC) exists to support the majority of health data analysis needs at UCDH though the provisioning of well-characterized health-related data and derived information to data requestors. The mission of the DPC is 1) to develop best practices in clinical informatics to guide the acquisition, transmission, aggregation, sematic curation, characterization, protection, and delivery of health data, and 2) to enable the learning healthcare system through generation of reusable enterprise data assets and collaborative partnerships between users of data and UCDH Information Technology.
