Earnings Potential :

The salary range for this role is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 annually. This is just one part of our total rewards package which additionally includes performance bonus for eligible roles, commissions, and competitive benefits.

Job Responsibilities

Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all sales employees.

Including training sales team daily, role-play, product demonstrations and product quizzes to ensure sales representatives are well versed in the sales process and manufacturer product knowledge.

  • Build effective sales team by communicating expected performance standards, monitoring performance, identifying development needs, coaching and mentoring.
  • Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees, ensuring proper staffing at all times.
  • Monitors the productivity and performance of sales and finance staff with monthly evaluations.
  • Meets with the General Manager to review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports and the profit performance of each department as a whole and each person individually.
  • Studies local market conditions, demographics and past sales history.

Makes recommendations to the General Manager regarding short- and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions and compensation plans.

  • Approves all sales incentives in writing before submitting to accounting.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns.

Escalate issues as needed to the General Manager.

  • Creates systems that ensure ongoing sales training, including weekly sales meetings.
  • Audits all appraisals of trade-in vehicles.

Attends auction at least once monthly.

Works with the General Manager to review advertising monthly with advertising agency. Conducts major sales promotions and advertising as needed (i.e.

used vehicle classifieds, large new display ads, radio, TV, DM, etc.).

Ensures all sales personnel meet and maintain minimum training certification levels as dictated by the manufacturer.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years automotive sales experience with working knowledge of finance required.
  • Minimum two to five years of sales management experience required.
  • Proven track record of exceeding customer expectations displayed through CSI, market penetration and profitability.
  • Must have exceptional leadership, team building and communication skills.
  • Must be organized and have a strong work ethic.
  • Strong computer aptitude, specifically with dealership management systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • All necessary factory training must be maintained.
  • Travel to other Company locations along with manufacturer training and other relevant training courses required.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license for occasional travel requirements and have the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
  • A professional appearance and manner consistent with Company culture must be maintained.
