• The Senior Accountant will complete a variety of accounting-related tasks including assisting with the coordination and oversight of accounting functions for all related companies;
• assisting with month-end balance sheet reconciliations and associated journal entries relative to the accounting, accruals, and account analysis for all companies;

and special projects. The Corporate Accountant will support the Corporate Finance Function in designated general accounting functions for reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Maintain daily treasury reporting as well as other daily tactical items.
• Oversee the general ledger and maintain chart of accounts.
• Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and provide insights to management.
• Assist with external auditors during annual audits. Financial and non-financial such as 401K and workers compensation audits.
• Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Streamline financial procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
• Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Work closely with other departments including the divisional controllers to provide financial expertise and support decision-making
• Collaborate with the finance team on special projects and initiatives.
• Work with both AP and AR technicians.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
• Proven 3-5 year experience as a Senior Staff Accountant or similar role in industry or a public accounting firm.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of sales and use tax
• 401K administration, testing etc.
• Managing and processing payroll
