ICU nurse
Overview :
- Job Category : Acute - Nursing - Local
- Skills : Two years of the following experience is required : Critical care experience IV Insertion and phlebotomy skill Conscious sedation
- Education : RN License - required Primary Source Verification - required AHA BLS - required AHA ACLS - required IV Certification - required CCRN - preferred CRRT - preferred ECHMO - preferred Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis - preferred
- Certifications & Licenses : CCRN - IV Certification - RN License
We are searching for a dedicated intensive care unit (ICU) nurse to deliver vital care to seriously ill or injured patients in our ICU department.
As a specialized nurse, you will be highly trained to treat patients who have suffered strokes, heart attacks, or undergone invasive surgery.
You will perform a range of tasks including performing diagnostic tests, conducting follow-up visits, monitoring patient recovery, and responding to medical emergencies.
In addition to having a highly analytical mindset, our ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities :
- Assesses, plans and implements care and interventions in addressing the problems of the neonate
- Carries out physician orders
- Assists physician during examination, treatment, and procedures
- Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs
- Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
- Instructs and educates patients and families
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
- Provides age and culturally appropriate care
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic patient care environment for at risk infants
- Orients and mentors new staff members
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
