Description
The Fox West YMCA is hiring Youth Sports Officials. The Y offers youth sports programs for football, soccer, basketball and more.
Youth Sports Officials assist team coaches with teaching the fundamentals and rules while communicating effectively with participants.
As a referee with the Y’s youth sports program, you’ll help our young athletes learn the game while maintaining a safe field.
We provide a thorough training to make sure our officials are experts in all areas. Our sports officials work in an entertaining and positive environment.
This is a part-time, entry-level position. Applicants should be 16 years or older. This position is both indoors and outdoors with evening and weekend hours.
Additional hours are available.
Requirements
- Prior experience in sports.
- Skill and / or certification in teaching games, sports, and other related youth activities is recommended.
- Knowledge in working with youth and teens in a good community relationship with participants and volunteers.
- Commitment to working with youth from a variety of backgrounds.
- 16 years of age or older.
