The PRN Registered Nurse is a vital member of the System of Care.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of persons served / clients as they go through the rehabilitation process.

The PRN Registered Nurse will work on an as needed basis to ensure quality care to clients. The PRN Registered Nurse will be required to work a minimum of 32 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities : Conducts nursing assessments and monitor clientsMedication managementEnsure appropriate Precautions of the initiated and followedFacilitate health education groups, including general health education and medication / drug interactionsObserve and assess clients for clinical signs and symptoms of withdrawal and changes in conditionSchedule appointments with physicians and mental health providersSend medication refills to pharmacy as ordered by providerCoordinate refills and new prescriptions with the staff physicianLog medications and maintain an accurate medication logbookMaintain a medical first aid kitComplete nursing encounter documentationCommunicate with Medical Director as neededMonitor persons served / client behavior during medication administrationComplete all medical notes same day of serviceComplete nursing assessment within 24 hours of intake for persons served / clientsParticipate in staff and state regulatory training as requiredAdhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethicsThe Registered Nurse is expected to protect the privacy of all persons served / client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC / Odyssey, Inc.

Maintain a valid driver’s licenseOther duties as assigned.Key Experience and Education Needed : Registered Nursing DegreeValid Nursing License in KentuckyOther Qualifications to be Considered : Knowledge of basic infection prevention strategies and precautions.

Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact of alcohol and other substances on the individual and family.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Attention to detail and organization is a must.Ability to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilities.

Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner.
