We are hiring a Registered Nurse for our growing team! The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the System of Care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of persons served / clients as they go through the rehabilitation process.

The Registered Nurse will work on an as needed basis to ensure quality care to clients.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conducts nursing assessments and monitor clients
• Medication management
• Ensure appropriate Precautions of the initiated and followed
• Facilitate health education groups, including general health education and medication / drug interactions
• Observe and assess clients for clinical signs and symptoms of withdrawal and changes in condition
• Schedule appointments with physicians and mental health providers
• Send medication refills to pharmacy as ordered by provider
• Coordinate refills and new prescriptions with the staff physician
• Log medications and maintain an accurate medication logbook
• Maintain a medical first aid kit
• Complete nursing encounter documentation
• Communicate with Medical Director as needed
• Monitor persons served / client behavior during medication administration
• Complete all medical notes same day of service
• Complete nursing assessment within 24 hours of intake for persons served / clients
• Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required
• Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics
• The Registered Nurse is expected to protect the privacy of all persons served / client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC / Odyssey, Inc.

s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider.

• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Experience and Education Needed :

• Registered Nursing Degree
• Valid Nursing License in Kentucky

Other Qualifications to be Considered :

• Knowledge of basic infection prevention strategies and precautions.
• Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact of alcohol and other substances on the individual and family.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and organization is a must.
• Ability to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilities.
• Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner.
• Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and therapeutic relationship with clients served
