POSITION SUMMARY
The Enrollment Marketing Specialist will play a key role in accomplishing Concordia University Texas’s strategic plan by supporting the University’s enrollment through marketing campaigns.
As an Enrollment Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing digital campaigns that showcase a cohesive experience for our prospective students and drive students to take their next step at Concordia Texas.
The Enrollment Marketing Specialist will also serve as a key liaison between internal teams, partners, and vendors.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Gather student & alumni stories to feature in University Magazine, program pages, admissions collateral, blog content, etc.
- Collaborate with the Director of University Marketing and creative teams on selecting images for the website and scheduling additional photography needs as needed.
- Collaborate with the Director of University Marketing to ensure that campaigns run as expected and materials are provided in a timely manner.
- Work with the Director of University Marketing and outside partners to ensure the use of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) best practices in website content.
- Establish and keep up with a website content calendar for marketing website pages to ensure that content is regularly updated and refreshed.
- Regularly review website program pages and admissions pages to ensure that content is up to date.
- Utilize Google Analytics to identify website trends and recommend opportunities to improve website traffic and performance.
- Draft email and text communication plans for Traditional Undergraduate, Transfer, Online Undergraduate, and Graduate programs and events.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to optimize email communications, text messaging, and content creation.
- Coordinate with the creative team to enhance the visual appeal of campaign layouts and determine graphic needs.
- Create and maintain an email communication calendar to ensure staff is up to date on email communication schedules.
- Regularly report email campaign metrics to the Director of University Marketing and provide recommendations for increasing click rate, open rate, and conversion rates on email campaigns.
- Generate UTM tracking parameters for webpages to ensure accurate campaign tracking and serve as the primary steward of campaign URL tracking parameters.
- Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment Operations and the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Operations on building reports in TargetX (Salesforce).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communication and 1-2 years of related experience working in search engine optimization or content marketing.
Experience building and launching email marketing campaigns preferred.
- Experience using TargetX (Salesforce) CRM to launch email and text communications preferred.
- Strong familiarity with marketing and communications in the higher education sector
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills
- Proven experience in developing impactful and unique marketing campaigns
- Comfortable connecting with current students, faculty, and alumni to generate student testimonials.
- Ability to foster teamwork and work cooperatively and effectively with others on goal setting and decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress, and track results.
- Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interpret and abide by CTX’s values, mission, policies, and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to walk around campuses several times a day.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to sit or stand at a computer 6 to 7 hours a day when in the office.
- May require non-traditional working hours, including evenings and weekends during peak periods.
