This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The Fleet Mechanic will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of vehicles.

Responsibilities of a Fleet Mechanic :
- Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and other issues.
- Diagnose problems and proficiently execute repairs on vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Conduct thorough vehicle and equipment inspections routinely to prevent potential issues.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
- Test vehicles to ensure proper functionality after repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of all services and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with drivers regarding repairs and maintenance recommendations.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and advancements in automotive systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications of a Fleet Mechanic :
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive mechanics is a plus.
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic or similar role.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
