Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Reverse Engineering Specialist to join our team at the Manufacturing Center, a subsidiary of AB.
This role focuses on identifying and creating cost-effective solutions for parts and assemblies. The successful candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, practical engineering skills, and a strong understanding of cost-saving opportunities in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with third parties to review and create detailed engineering drawings.
- Evaluate parts to determine manufacturability and potential for in-house reverse engineering.
- Develop CAD models and D drawings using SolidWorks.
- Utilize manual measuring tools and demonstrate mechanical aptitude for accurate part analysis.
- Perform reverse engineering tasks on a variety of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Leverage SAP for managing PMs, parts, storerooms, and pulling data using tools created to ease transaction code extraction.
- Work through historical data to prioritize parts based on cost-saving potential.
- Coordinate with third-party manufacturers for complex component production.
- Organize and manage multiple parts and projects daily, maintaining a flexible schedule to ensure efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with the director to adapt to changing directions and budgetary requirements focused on maximizing savings.
Qualifications :
- SAP : Intermediate proficiency ( / )
- Microsoft Programs (Office, SharePoint, PowerBi) : Proficient ( / )
- CAD Modeling and D Drawing (SolidWorks) : Advanced ( / )
- Understanding of ISO Tolerances : Advanced ( / )
- Mechanical Components and Assemblies : Proficient ( / )
- CMM Equipment Experience (OGP Fusion , Verisurf / FARO) : Basic ( / )
- Knowledge of Materials and Properties (Plastics / Metals) : Intermediate ( / )
- Food and Beverage Industry Experience : Preferred but not required ( / )
Skills and Competencies :
- Strong analytical skills to assess parts for manufacturability and reverse engineering.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with third parties and internal teams.
- High attention to detail and precision in creating engineering drawings and CAD models.
