Amphicar Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Amphicar Supervisor is responsible for limited Amphicar’s Department general service oversight and operational tasks as well as ensuring the successful delivery of the Gibsons Restaurant Group’s philosophy, which is based upon four distinct core beliefs : Hospitality, Quality, Value and Family.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Must successfully assess and pass the Florida Boating Safety Course examination.
- Navigate open waterways while operating a manual stick shift vehicle.
- Ensure the safety of passengers while providing exceptional guest experience.
- Monitor service standards in real time in area responsible; constructively coach staff as needed in moments of service.
- Recognize and accommodate regular guests.
- Demonstrate and reinforce leadership behaviors.
- Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff. Escalates issues to Manager as appropriate.
- Demonstrate an understanding of open communication with passengers .
- Must effectively utilize radio communication to relay location and pertinent information.
- Must be able to communicate issues with the mechanics team.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of cars and docked boats.
- Understand emergency procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned

Education and / or Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. One year boating experience with a valid boating license is preferred.
Valid driver’s license with no traffic violations in the last year. Able to operate a manual transmission preferred.
Skills :
Must possess excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to make timely and sound decisions. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at several organizational levels to keep the staff and customers safe.
