About the Job :
Reporting to the Vice President of Communications and Marketing, the Director of Sales Enablement is responsible for top of funnel sales pipeline to include defining and maintaining market segmentation and national health systems strategies, and developing processes, content, and tools that optimize sales platforms as well as improve the closed-won ratio for business development.
The Director of Sales Enablement is a true change agent, helping build infrastructure and leading cross-functional projects to improve demand generation and lead nurturing for our business development team.
This person is equal parts operator and analyst - enabling and optimizing sales and marketing processes, programs, channels, and campaigns through best-in-class technology by creating, documenting, teaching, and enforcing processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for :
Sales strategy and alignment
- Set a vision and act as a thought partner to senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain a segmentation strategy with supporting tools for BD, marketing, and field operations so collaborators know priority segments and Sound can focus marketing, research, field, and sales resources on achieving the right growth.
- Develop Sound Value proposition training materials and lead live training sessions as needed.
Lead and develop a talented team of Business Development Managers and Business Development Associate
- Codify best practices within the context of segmentation, systems strategy, territory plans, and outreach.
- Effectively managing project schedules and assigned tasks; track, analyze, and report team performance.
- Identify areas for improvement in sales productivity and effectiveness; create and execute training and enablement programs that address these areas.
- Develop sales training materials and resources, including presentations, playbooks, and training guides.
- Facilitate live training sessions and webinars to support the sales team’s ongoing success.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices for sales enablement.
Drive demand for Sound’s hospital-based services
- Partner with marketing to develop value proposition and key messaging for outreach ensuring that the business development team has consistent, thorough, and accurate content for outreach, RFPs, and presentations.
- Execute sales campaigns in partnership between BDMs and hospital-based services marketing lead(s)
- Ensure BDM team hits quota for initial meetings set with target accounts.
Competitive / market intel
- Assess and introduce processes for capturing, curating, and sharing market intelligence across the organization.
- Perform win / loss debrief to better understand Sound’s competitive position and inform value proposition / product strategy.
Technology / data Integrity
- Ensure Salesforce is a reliable source of truth for market, account information, and contact information.
- Oversee lead management in Salesforce and ensure leads are assigned, followed up with, and converted based on internal service level agreements.
- Establish guidelines for one-to-one and one-to-many emails.
- Serve as a subject matter expert within sales tools, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Knowledge :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience :
- 10+ years related experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Deep experience with defining and driving sales and marketing strategy and processes.
- Capable of understanding, interpreting, and presenting the results of data and insights to different internal and external stakeholders.
