Job Summary :
The Service Bureau Maintenance Manager directs the maintenance staff to repair and maintain all production equipment within the Service Bureau department.
Responsibilities include maintenance budget control, implementing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program, parts inventory control, equipment upgrades and new capital investments, increasing equipment productivity and minimizing downtime.
This position will work closely with all departments to accomplish these goals.
Job Duties :
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems on all plant equipment. Provide hands on technical leadership and training to maintenance personnel.
- Implement and oversee PM schedules on all equipment.
- Establish and maintain spare parts inventories and maintenance supplies.
- Function as a team member driving cost improvement measures to include equipment modifications and new capital investments to reduce overall cost of goods and improve machine and operator efficiencies.
- Ensure that all OSHA, Federal, State and local safety policies and procedures are consistently adhered to. This includes lockout / tagout, Arc Flash and proper PPE for all jobs.
- Work with outside contractors and vendors as necessary to best accomplish maintenance departmental goals.
- Maintain all service records and daily maintenance activities undertaken in the department.
- Effectively complete all tasks as assigned by senior leadership.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field or combination of education and experience managing maintenance or engineering departments.
- 5-10 years verifiable experience managing maintenance or engineering departments in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams and ladder logic. Ability to program and modify PLC programs.
- Excellent computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Office suite, Cad and other software packages.
- Team player with a sense of urgency who excels in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Able to work any hours necessary to ensure the success of the department and company.
