Vista Outdoor’s Revelyst business is seeking a dynamic Budget Accountant to join our talented team. This role combines the responsibilities of a budget accountant with the analytical tasks of an FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) analyst.
This highly visible role will be responsible for working closely with leadership and functional owners to deliver monthly G&A reviews, perform financial analysis in support of the budget, as well as assist in month and quarter end closing efforts.
You will play a key part in ensuring Revelyst’s financial health by creating and managing budgets, conducting financial analysis, and supporting the financial planning process.
This position reports to the Sr Manager, Corporate FP&A and allows you the flexibility of working remotely or is based out of our Anoka offices.
As the Budget Accountant, you will have an opportunity to :
- Work closely with leadership in the development and delivery of G&A monthly reviews and annual plan review presentations
- Support the company’s budget team to report financial results to management per required schedules
- Perform financial analysis to promptly identity any significant variances from the plan
- Provide key analysis of monthly performance and accurate monthly / quarterly / annual forecasts
- Provide training and consulting services to management personnel to support departmental financial accountabilities
- Establish strong working relationships with both upper management and peers
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed
- Support month end / quarter end close
- Support corporate team with internal and external audits"
- Create and support an environment of financial control
You have :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Prior experience with ERP systems
- Strong background and understanding of GAAP
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to create financial presentations that are highly understandable to a wide audience
- Strong communication skills; capable of presenting complex financial information in and easy-to-understand format
- Familiarity with concepts, practices and procedures of financial planning & anlaysis
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a team member
