We are looking for an experienced personal injury legal assistant to support our busy attorneys and paralegals at our law firm.
You'll be in charge of managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, scheduling meetings and travel, and informing our legal team of looming deadlines.
You'll also order medical and billing records and submit paperwork electronically in state and federal courts. This role will conduct further legal research as attorneys and paralegals desire.

$18 - $25 hourly
Responsibilities :
- Schedule team meetings and appointments, such as depositions, make travel arrangements, and coordinate with event vendors
- Ordering medical and billing records and electronically filing in state and federal courts
- Create and proofread pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and papers for case preparation
- Respond to emails and phone calls, contact opposing attorney offices, take dictation, and inform the team of deadlines
- Process client billing appropriately using daily time records, with the accounting department's assistance
Qualifications :
- 1-2 years of prior experience in a personal injury law firm as a secretary or administrative assistant
- Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products
- An Associate’s degree or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs
