Job Summary
- Screens patient and obtains pertinent information.
- Room, collect vital signs, perform allergy and medication reconciliation.
- Collects necessary patient data to complete documentation for patient visit in the EMR.
- Assists the physician or advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed.
- Timely completes and documents all actions taken regarding patient care beyond the patient visit (to include patient and family education, telephone correspondence and triage, prescription refills, forms completion, etc.)
- Completes referrals and procedure / DI scheduling in a timely manner and obtains authorization when required. Follows up as instructed.
- Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
- Adequately stocks patient care areas and disposes of outdated medications and stock items according to clinic policy.
- Scans documents, and saving the document appropriately in the patient's EMR.
- Answers telephones, schedules appointments, and takes messages.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and transition duties as needed during clinic days.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and ability to follow through with all tasks assigned with accuracy and efficiency are essential for this role.
- Flexibility and adaptability are crucial for this role, as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail and multi-task.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience
Prefer at least 1-2 year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and / or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

Licensure / Certification
- Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
Compensation / Benefits
- $17.39-$28.40 / hr depending on previous work experience.
