Process Automation Engineer

Immediate need for a talented Process Automation Engineer . This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Marlborough, MA(Onsite) .

Pay Range : $90 / hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities :

• Interface with project leadership and other project disciplines to ensure automation requirements and scope are understood.
• Responsible for the generation of detailed automation design documents and test plans to ensure alignment with agreed technical approach and compliance with functional specifications.
• Troubleshooting of hardware.
• Resolve technical questions and concerns through interaction with customers, vendors, and internal personnel.
• Develop innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, serviceability, cost and manufacturability.
• Analyze and validate material / component selection, performance, cost, manufacturability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to complete subsystem and system verification.
• Evaluate and prioritize pertinent business tasks with limited information.
• Conceptualize, engineer, and complete detailed design of controls, safety, and power circuits for process automation.
• Use CAD tools to design electrical schematics, pneumatic systems and panel layouts for automation systems per requirements.
• Create specifications from variety of sources including from scratch as required.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related STEM Major and 15+ years of process automation experience in a regulated industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of and strong hands-on experience with system / hardware integration.
• Experienced with stage gate engineering design processes.
• Able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Excellent cross-functional teamwork, coordination, and communication skills Experience at developing IEC and NFPA style electrical schematics.
• Exposure to government regulated industries (GMP, GAMP).
