The JD McCarty Center is an organization that provides inpatient and outpatient therapy services to children with developmental disabilities.

We are currently seeking an energetic and child-centered Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team!

The position requires a 40-hour work week with standard hours being Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm. Each BCBA will be required to stay early and / or work late once per week (ex.

7 : 30 am to 3 : 30pm, 9 : 30 am to 5 : 30 pm). The workday should not typically exceed 8 hours.

Salary range $73,500 to $78,500 per year. Salary will be based on experience.

Job Responsibilities include :

  • Supervising and providing training for all Registered Behavior Technicians and Direct Care Staff with RBT certification in the implementation of ABA Therapy principles.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans, conducting behavioral assessments; and develop specific behavior plans based on the need of the patient.
  • Identifies behavior strategies and interventions to implement in attempt to reduce maladaptive behaviors
  • Ability to collaborate across a variety of disciplines (Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, etc.) to make informed decisions regarding the use of devices, equipment, and techniques when developing the child individualized treatment plan
  • Participates in weekly Physician Staffing and monthly Neurology Clinic meetings to report on client data and discuss recommendations for behavior modifications for both inpatient and / or outpatient clients
  • Facilitate and assist in the identification and creation of training, supports, and resources for inpatient and outpatient families and / or caregivers
  • Consults with families, caregivers, and other service providers and delivers on and / or off-site training as necessary
  • Attend JDMC functions related to promotional outings and marketing events for ABA related services
  • Responsible for monitoring billing information, data collection and daily session notes are being submitted by all staff
  • Assist the Director of ABA Services and the ABA Program Manager with outpatient ABA wait list. BCBA would be required to assist with the intake process including parent interviews, collaboration with school and other therapies, conducting assessments and insurance requirements
  • Participates in scheduled on-call shifts, for a 24-hour shift 4-5 times per month, to provide phone support to staff in assisting patients with challenging behaviors.
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Job Requirements :

  • Must maintain all current certifications including Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Oklahoma Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), QBS Safety Care and CPR / First Aid
  • Can learn and grow while working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Have strong time management skills and the ability to think quickly in unexpected situations
  • Physical demands may include assisting with lifting, holding, or positioning clients with disabilities. Sitting or stooping on the floor for extended periods of time.

Standing or bending over repeatedly throughout the day. Assist with living skills such as feeding, toileting and / or dressing

BCBAs are required to attend JDMC off site field trips with all inpatient clients

About the J.D. McCarty Center :

At J.D. McCarty Center patients are admitted for a 30-day evaluation during which they are assigned a treatment team consisting of nursing unit, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nutritional services, social services, psychological services, behavioral analysis, and recreational therapy.

Our 80-acre s campus includes an on-site elementary, intermediate, and high school which is staffed by Norman Public School teachers.

Patients may continue treatment needs beyond the 30-days as an in-patient in habilitation status based upon progress or placement needs.
