Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our Space Launch Systems in New Orleans, LA.

Position will lead NDE efforts at both Michoud Assembly Facility and Kennedy Space Center.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Performs management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families. Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Performing one on one coaching and counseling with direct reports.
  • Communicating and presenting to a NASA customer

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements :

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.

F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

  • More than 1 year experience leading and managing a team
  • More than 5 years experience with Non-Destructive Evaluation
  • Experience working in a quality job role
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or STEM field
  • Experience preparing and presenting to executives, senior leadership, and external customers
  • Experience working with and / or supporting a Lean Management System such as OneBPS or others

Relocation :

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility

Travel :

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Summary pay range : $101,150 - $147,200
