Trapper's Sushi is looking to grow our team by adding a new Host / Cashier to our team! As one of the Pacific Northwest's most desired dining establishments, our mission is to learn our customers names, as well as provide the best service and food possible, leaving our customers with a craving to come back for more!
Host / Cashiers are the first point of contact for our guests. For this role, organizational and people skills are essential in ensuring our guests have the best dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure.
A positive attitude and commitment in helping to create a memorable experience for every Trapper's Sushi guest will be an essential function of this role.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome guests as they enter the restaurant
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Facilitate to-go orders by phone, assist with ensuring the customer receives the correct items I their order
- Answer incoming calls and address customers' queries
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas, provide menus and announce Food Server's name
- Coordinate and assist wait staff
- Maintain a clean reception area
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
- Greet customers upon their departure
- Demonstrate and uphold all TRAPCHK core values
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous work experience as a Host / Hostess or Food Server
- An understanding of restaurant etiquette
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Ability to multitask
- High school diploma; hospitality certification is a plus
- Washington State Food Worker Card is required (before first day of work)
Physical Demands
- The employee must regularly lift items up 10 pounds, frequently up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand throughout their shift, walk, reach with hands and arms in front of body, lift, twist, crouch occasionally.
