Shipping and Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities :

• Process all daily shipments including Bills of Ladings, packing slips, labels, etc.
• Process drop shipments using FEDEX Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip.
• Manage the accuracy of the company wide Shipping Calendar.
• Analyze and process carton label requests from the production floor.
• Capture the necessary pack out dimensions and weights in the system for every production order.
• Communicate with sales team on shipment changes or specific instructions needed.
• Manage the shipping profiles of each customer, to maintain the requests and specifications required.
• Research and provide tracking information when necessary.
• Process all receiving including the receipt of customer supplied components.
• Generates production floor paperwork for in-process jobs.
• Resolve shipping and invoicing discrepancies.
• Responsible for updating sales orders in the system, at the completion of every project, with information gathered during production.
• Communicate with production as to the availability of received materials.
• Handle all order processing, enter orders, create Bills of Lading, entering in P.O. Tracker, billing end of day.
• Employee may be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Essential skills and experience :

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. ERP systems experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of freight classes, UPS and FEDEX service options, as well as LTL / Truckload shipment requirements.
• An understanding of spatial relations as it pertains to coordinating shipments.
• High degree of organization, attention to detail, and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform tasks such as interpreting packing slips, completing Bills of Ladings and completing the various forms that are required by freight carriers.
• 2-5 years of experience in a Shipping and Receiving or Manufacturing administrative role.
• Some college required. Business or related field a plus
