Job Description :
State-of-the-art shrink sleeve and label printing company on Long Island, NY is very busy Due to client demand the company is searching to hire an experienced Flexographic Press Operator for 2nd shift.
Responsibilities include : Read & interpret job orders.Setup, operate, and maintain multi-unit web flexographic press.Mix inks and coatings.
Check quality throughout the press runs.Perform preventative maintenance on press.Work closely with press crew and supervisor to stay on schedule.
Maintain clean work area. Qualifications include : Minimum of 3 years' experience operating multi-unit flexographic presses;
such as : Mark Andy, Aquaflex, Nilpeter, Comco, Omet etc.Working knowledge with UV inks preferred.Experience printing on shrink, PS and unsupported substrates.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills are required. Good communication skills.Must be detail and quality oriented.
Must be able to work OT as needed. Work well in a team environment and independently.Able to work 3 - 11pm.Basic math and reading skills.
Hourly rate $27 - $32, depending on experience, +healthcare benefits, vacation / PTO and 401k match.
