As a Passenger Information Systems Engineer, you will be a viable member of a team focused on various passenger information, communication, and software engineering activities in all project phases from the concept / design through to the commissioning, validation, and warranty phase.

Key Activities

• System integration of communication and information systems in Stadler vehicles taking into account the requirements of the customer, standards, and law.
• Preparation of engineering / production documents such as technical specifications, electrical diagrams, and system drawings.
• Support of Stadler production, commissioning and type tests.
• Responsible for the control of specification-conform implementation on the part of the system supplier with regard to hardware, software and ordered services.
• Supervision and participation in software tests of the suppliers as well as ensuring the delivery in accordance with contract and schedule.
• Collaboration with customers, suppliers and approval bodies in an international environment.
• Technical addition to the specialist group in the areas of software architecture, communication technology, industrial electronics development or testing.
• Further development of project-independent and market-driven solution modules in cooperation with the electrical engineering, design and product management.
• Interdisciplinary coordination with other departments such as electrical and software engineering, installation planning, purchasing, fire protection or approval.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering, information technology, or other comparable experience-based knowledge.
• Experience in project management is advantageous.
• 3-6 years of experience in the field of networked communication systems in the transport sector or in the development of industrial electronics.
• High technical affinity and interest to deal with different technologies and IT systems.
• Railway experience, preferred.
• Very good communicator to people with different technical backgrounds, inside and outside the company, on all levels.
• Strong team spirit.
• Able to be flexible with travel and work hours.
