Jacksonville Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking hard working Business Office Manager to join our facility.
As the Business Office Manager, you are Responsible for all payroll, accounts receivable, and collection activities for the facility and for supervising billing and collections personnel in the facility.
Responsible for achieving cash collection and AR goals for the facility. Ensures all information is current and accurate.
Works with other department managers to ensure compliance with all financial regulatory requirements. Position may oversee Receptionist functions of the facility.
Requirements :
Must have SNF and Long term care experience
Three to five years of experience in third-party billing and reimbursement including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance required.
- Experience with Microsoft products to include Word and Excel.
- Must possess and maintain an Eligible ACHA Background Screening status.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel, and the general public.
- Knowledge of reimbursement regulations.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid.
- Knowledge of rules, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to Long Term Care Facilities.
- Knowledge of ADA and EEOC laws and regulations
- Knowledge of Workman’s Compensation laws
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc.

Job Duties :
- Assist in preparing and planning the department budget and submit to Administrator for review, recommendations, and approval.
- Ensure that adequate financial records and cost reports are submitted to authorized government agencies as directed.
- Develop and participate in programs designed for in-service education, on-the-job training, and orientation classes for newly assigned personnel.
Includes maintaining appropriate record keeping requirements of when classes were held, subject matter, attendance, etc.)
- Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc., to keep abreast of current changes in administrative procedures.
- Ensure departmental adherence to the Corporate Compliance Plan- Code of Conduct
- Assist in determining office staffing, evaluate employee performance, and make recommendations to the Administrator concerning wage and salary adjustments, hiring, terminations, transfer, etc.
- Recruit, select and train competent administrative personnel as necessary or directed.
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the administrative office policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing and maintaining written job descriptions and performance evaluations for administrative office personnel in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, OSHA, and other pe1iinent laws governing job positions.
Review with the Administrator.
- Interpret the facility's policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc., as directed by the Administrator.
- Ensure that all office personnel follow established policies and procedures.
- Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the administrative programs and activities of the facility.
- Delegate administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to other responsible persons, as necessary.
- Represent the facility at and participate in meeting as required by the Administrator.
- Serve as liaison to the Administrator, medical staff, and other personnel and supervisory staff.
- Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
