Quality Control Specialist

$18-19.50 / hour

Quality Control Specialists are responsible for in process inspections of products.

Description :

  • Inspection : Examine products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet company requirements.
  • Measurement : Use tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to measure product dimensions and compare them to specifications.
  • Testing : Conduct quality tests and identify defects in products.
  • Documentation : Record inspection results, summarize reworks and wastes, and input data into quality databases.
  • Compliance : Ensure that production processes comply with standards and legal requirements.
  • Training : Train production team members on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
  • Problem Solving : Identify and resolve quality issues, proposing improvements to the production process.

Additional Skills and Qualifications :

  • Previous quality control / inspection / auditing experience
  • Must be proficient in Excel
  • SAP is a plus but not required
  • Ability to perform simple math

Work Environment

  • 1st shift runs from 6am-2 : 30pm, five days a week.
  • Operate in a manufacturing environment across three facilities, which are not temperature controlled.
  • Team size averages around 100 employees per facility. Dress code is work appropriate shirts, jeans or shorts, and steel-toed shoes are mandatory.
