The versatile and highly adaptive Float DSP will relieve short-staffed programs in the Winona region and be utilized to fill in for DSP time off requests / medical leaves.
Extensive training will be provided to ensure a successful transition between sites!
The Direct Support Professional's (DSP) role is to ensure that the daily needs of each client are met through teaching, counseling, advising, and providing a positive role model in a manner which enables the greatest degree of independence possible in their activities of daily living.

Classification : Nonexempt (hourly)
Expected Hours of Work : Guaranteed 35 variable hours per week (availability required for all three shifts); 2 weekends per month and holiday rotations are required *Your work schedule will be determined a minimum of two weeks in advance.
Salary : $20.00 / hour for all awake hours
Travel : Must be able to travel to all locations located in the Winona region
Qualifications :
- Flexibility required for shift worked and clientele served.
- Hold a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record; have reliable transportation and proof of current car insurance.
- Winona based Float DSp shall have essential physical skills - be able to walk, squat, stoop / bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift at least 50 pounds, push and pull against potential resistance, and be able to implement non-physical and physical interventions with people supported when needed.
- Due to the safety and regulatory requirements, and the need to communicate and supervise our clients, an applicant must have adequate vision, reading, writing, and documentation skills and comprehension of the English language.
- An applicant must also be able to perform the essential functions of the position (personal cares, behavior, etc.) for all departments included in the identified geographical area supported.

- A strong recommendation from your current Supervisor.
- Preference given to staff possessing a minimum of one year's prior experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
