The position
You will report to the Head of Sourcing & Alliance Management and work in close collaboration with a high number of stakeholders.
To address the increasing focus on ethics & compliance, you will be the DDS Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Subject Matter Expert and provide guidance and advice on compliance with laws, regulations and on a broad spectrum of related judicious matters within a highly regulated medical device and pharma environment.
Your primary responsibilities will be focused on : Representing DDS in the cross functional DPR and BECC forums. This further includes driving and providing guidance on ethics & compliance matters related to the Business Ethics Code of Conduct, including Third Party Risk Assessment, HCP / HCO interactions, digital delivery solutions and Data Privacy matters.
All in close alignment with the Novo Nordisk E&C Strategy, the Novo Nordisk Way of Working and your colleagues in DDS particularly in our User Research & Insights, Usability Engineering and Future UX areas Identifying, assessing and managing E&C risks to safeguard our license to operate and sustain our promise to patients, including gap analysis related to Business Ethics Code of Conduct attestation activities Engaging and liaise with internal R&D Business Ethics & Data Privacy compliance, and other relevant teams at all levels on updates, policies, regulatory compliance developments, standards, procedures, initiatives, risks, KPIs, etc.
Ensure E&C policies and standards are maintained, updated, visible, and accessible Providing sparring to your legal colleagues during contract preparation and negotiations and occasionally help with drafting, negotiations, and management of a wide variety of contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSA’s) and related agreements Supporting in the development of legal templates, training materials, and train and upskill DDS colleagues on legal, ethics and compliance matters.
Develop proactive guidance, tools, and best practice materials. This job is a unique opportunity to obtain valuable insights into the Novo Nordisk’s value chain at the device development stage.
You must be ready to learn, build competences, and network with stakeholders across the value chain to guarantee that initiatives are optimally aligned and offer maximal realization of value.
Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to have : A master’s degree in law, business law or equivalent and 10+ years of hands-on experience from an international medical device or pharma company and professional proficiency in English Extensive experience with E&C, legal and contract management combined with strong negotiation skills and an ability to find wise and mutually value adding solutions Knowledge about NIS2 and cybersecurity measures and how to address cyber risks would also be an advantage You are a good communicator and can convey complex legal, ethics and compliance matter in a simple and compelling way providing your colleagues with clarity, direction, and guidance Excellent skills in the MS toolbox and Coupa are also a clear advantage As a person, you are accountable, flexible and have excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build trusting and positive relationships in a cross-cultural and international setting.
