We are looking for an experienced Tax Associate to join our team in Los Gatos, California. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual tax returns while ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This position requires strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of tax preparation processes.

This is a unique position for work life balance - max 40 hours in busy season, and a minimum of 6 hours outside of Tax season - which can be remote!

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review individual tax returns for accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
• Ensure all tax documents and filings meet required deadlines and standards.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and address tax-related inquiries.
• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance in all filings.
• Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to efficiently complete tax preparation tasks.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to tax filings.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to clients for optimizing their tax situations.
• Maintain accurate records of all tax documents and correspondence.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, with a focus on individual tax returns.

CPA or EA is required
