- Fundraise for MCHS Family of Services including annual gifts, major gifts, corporate sponsorships and planned giving
- Develop, cultivate and maintain close contacts with donors, prospective donors, vendors, venues, individual volunteers and volunteer groups.
- Actively seek new donors, volunteers, and corporate and foundation partnerships through networking events, cultivating relationships and identifying new strategies
- Along with the Development and Marketing team, plan, organize, and implement fund development and activities and community outreach strategies.
- Build close relationships with your program counterparts at MCHS and become an expert in opportunities for impact related to all programs in the Family of Services
- Represent the agency to outside groups and organizations, including business, community, and media events.
- Participate in speaking engagements with various entities throughout Michigan.
- Coordinate with agency staff any support needed for third party special events, including internal and external events with service clubs
- Solicit and coordinate in-kind donations and drives which support programs within the Family of Services
- Maintain and manage essential donor records and gift acknowledgements.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least two (2) years of experience in marketing and / or fundraising, or
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred with at least one (1) year of experience in fundraising and / or nonprofit development.
