The Director of Actuarial Models is responsible for executing model change management activities and preparing models for production runs within a rigorous governance environment.
The role involves extensive collaboration with internal teams such as Valuation and Pricing, as well as external stakeholders including software vendors, consultants, and auditors.
Reporting to the AVP, this role plays a crucial role in fostering a strong risk management culture, providing technical support and training to other actuarial users, and enhancing processes for effectiveness and scalability.
They are looking for someone with :
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science
- FSA designation and at least 6 years of related actuarial experience
- Proficiency in AXIS or similar modeling software is required, along with experience in Indexed Universal Life Insurance and modeling applications for US statutory and GAAP quantities.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
