Our Headquarters are located on the Torrey Pines Mesa, in La Jolla, California at the center of the biotech hub. Our Manufacturing facility is in Sorrento Valley.

Position Summary :

As the Associate Manager of Flow Cell Manufacturing , you will provide leadership to a manufacturing team to create a best-in-class flow cell production processes that will enable Singular's strategic business plans and facilitate scalable growth.

Responsibilities :

• Provide leadership for flow cell manufacturing function (Particle synthesis, slide loading, flow cell assembly and packaging) by managing day to day processes and workflow.
• Partner with internal and external teams to scale and improve existing products and transfer new products from development into manufacturing.
• Manufacture subassemblies to support R&D and Integration / Reliability testing for custom sequencing runs.
• Partner with Process Development and Instrument Manufacturing leadership to implement holistic operating mechanisms, process transfer criteria, and relevant process improvement initiatives.
• Complete manufacturing transfers from R&D into manufacturing, assisting in drafting all relevant documentation (BOMs, batch records, work instructions, etc).
• Hire and retain key talent to meet strategic and tactical goals and KPI's.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement of business processes in manufacturing.
• Manage assigned departmental budget and allocate resources per company objectives.
• Drive improvements in manufacturing service levels to both internal and external customers.
• Develop implementation strategies for improving product reliability and manufacturability (process and design).

Qualifications :

• BS or higher in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, mechanical engineering, or related field with 4-6+ years life science industry experience and 1+ years' experience leading manufacturing, process development or technical support teams.
• Experience with tools such as six sigma, lean principles, and total quality management highly desired.
• Intermediate knowledge of surface chemistry, flow cell manufacturing, and synthetic chemistry manufacturing.
• Skilled in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Project.
• Experience with ERP systems required, NetSuite experience preferred
• Experience with 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485 requirements preferred.
• Strong multitasking abilities to complete activities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Results driven self-starter.
• Ability to manage stress and balance competing demands in a high throughput environment.

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is : $80,000 - $116,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Should the level of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
