Your day at NTT DATA

The candidate will be responsible to drive development and implementation of the vision and strategy for Vendor, Inventory, and Contract Management.

The candidate will be responsible for partnering globally and act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership and functional leadership to Vendor, Inventory, and Contract Management best practices.

Knowledge : Extensive knowledge with the Vendor, Inventory, and Contract Management for vendor categories with a focus on : Data Center Operations, Facilities, IT, Real Estate, and Indirect.

Vendor / Contract Management : Proven expertise with implementing various management tools and analytical methods commonly practiced and used within a best-in-class and / or world-class Procurement organization to locate, collect, measure / assessment, report, recommend, risk mitigation, and KPI reporting with constant improvement measures.

Inventory Management : Proven expertise with implementing various processes & tools to support the end-to-end process of Inventory Management from collecting the demand, planning, forecasting, reporting, delivery, risk mitigation, supply chain optimization, and KPI reporting with constant improvement measures.

Skills and Knowledge : Extensive knowledge of Vendor, Inventory, & Contract management practices and principles. Demonstrated / proven skills and knowledge required to contribute to a Procurement organization.

Span of Control : Depending on candidate’s experience, this role will have 1-2 Analyst reporting to them. The individual must understand and be an expert in developing Vendor, Inventory, and Contract Management programs strategies to ensure the implementation meets all business requirements.

As Procurement influence is still growing within NTT Data Global Data Center, the role will need to work closely with the functional business unit heads to create value added needed for Vendor, Inventory, and Contract Management.

The candidate will need to have a very strong interpersonal, communications and problem-solving skills as they will interact with very senior and high profiled leaders across NTT Data Global Data Center.

They should display a passion for strategic sourcing, contract / vendor management, supply management and operational procurement.

What you'll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Program

Personally develops, leads, and manages Vendor, Inventory, & Contract Management Program(s).

Develops an end-to-end global Vendor, Inventory, & Contract management strategy, mapping out the current landscape and defining an improvement plan for the near, mid and long-term to stimulate interest from and engagement with stakeholders.

Activities such as : market research, spend analytics, Vendor relationship management, Inventory product mix requirements by location, and stakeholder engagement.

Deliver procurement activities, including enabling the Business to self-serve Post Contract Management (PCM), KPI & SLA development and tracking, Stakeholder engagement, Communications, Risk and Vendor Relationship Management (VRM).

Identify and buildout tools including utilizing established tools / systems & adherence to policies (Oracle / SAP / PowerBI / e-Maintenance).

Feed success stories into overall Procurement communications

Client / Internal Stakeholder Relations

Demonstrating value delivery to a target audience of Global VP / Sr. Dir / Dir level stakeholders to reinforce stakeholder buy-in.

Be able to engage leaders to gain insights and perspective to ensure alignment & solicit feedback.

Demonstrate NTT Data Global Data Center values in all relationships (including Vendors).

As the Procurement Leadership Team is responsible for business-wide engagement, this role is equally responsible for the credibility and reputation of Procurement as a value-adding team.

Selling Procurement is a key part of this role.

Ensure Procurement is a commercial asset and not just a compliance function

Processes, Metrics & Execution

Create the Vendor, Inventory, & Contract Management program from cradle to grave along with the process, tools, and technology required.

Establish KPI’s and initiatives to support compliance, growth, and consolidation.

Establish Policies, Procedures, and Training material to support the program(s)

Vendor Relations

Develop and maintain an annual vendor management plan, including forecasted spend, savings expectations and performance objectives (Business reviews, Scorecards (Vendor Performance Ratings), and Risk Management).

Develop and manage an Inventory Management program for identified vendors where inventory management is required to include planning, forecasting, supply chain mitigation, on time delivery, Business reviews, Scorecards (On-Time Delivery Ratings), and Risk Management.

Ensure Procurement, the Business and Vendors conduct business ethically, and within the Company’s Anti Bribery and Corruption guidelines.

Alert the leadership to any improper practice.

Encourage Vendor Diversity through process and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

BA or BS required; MBA preferred.

Procurement qualifications are a plus (e.g. CSPM, APP, ISM, IPMM or MCIPS).

Demonstrated ability of working with and managing cross functional teams in a complex, changing environment to deliver value-added results to the organization.

10+ years of experience in a regulated environment (i.e., Financial, Insurance or the like).

Expertise in developing, leading, driving and managing vendor, inventory, and contract management including achievement best practices through developed KPI measurement.

Extensive knowledge of Vendor, inventory, and contract management practices and principles.

Leadership skills to effectively communicate ideas and influence others.

Demonstrated ability to deliver value-added results to the organization by applying financial analysis principles and procurement discipline.

High level of client focus and an ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Primarily walking, sitting, standing, and bending.

Able to hear and speak on a telephone.

Close visual work on a computer terminal.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, other technical instruments, and for performing cable terminations and testing.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

This position is expected to be remote for the near future with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared work environment.

Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.

15% travel as required.

Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $ 120,900 - $ 140,100.

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
