Job Description :
As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will provide a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, both invasive and non-invasive.
You will interpret a range of ultrasound examinations including routine OB / GYN, vascular, abdomen, small body parts, intra-cavity, color Doppler, and various biopsies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform comprehensive non-invasive ultrasound examinations.
- Execute diagnostic procedures as ordered and assess the need for additional information based on patient condition.
- Complete accurate measurements and generate reports for physician interpretation.
- Interact effectively and professionally with physicians, nursing units, and patients.
- Continuously enhance understanding and knowledge in your specialty area, disease processes, and new procedures.
Ideal Candidate :
- Certification : Registered Vascular Technologist through ARDMS.
- Experience : At least one year of experience in a medical and / or hospital clinical setting.
- Skills : Basic computer skills with experience or coursework and proficient typing abilities for timely report creation.
Qualifications :
- Education : Completion of a twelve (12) month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or General Ultrasound.
- Certification : RDMS registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible, with a commitment to become registered within one (1) year from the date of hire.
- Maintenance : Must maintain registry status and fulfill continuing education requirements annually.
- BLS Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required.
