Videographer & Editor - Association Services
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of video content for multiple platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube and understand the complexities of each platforms requirements.
2. Collaborate closely with Content Creator to ensure creative alignment and adherence to strategic objectives.
3. Collaborate with YMCA branches to identify stories and content to align with the organization's mission and community goals.
4. Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines and upholds our standard of quality.
5. Juggle multiple editing projects under tight deadlines.
6. Coordinate all aspects of video production from conceptualization to implementation, including site visits, pre-interviews, lighting, video production, editing, file management, and video launch on multiple platforms.
7. Engage with staff, members, volunteers and donors to get the perfect story / angle.
8. Foster a sense of community by promoting inclusivity and participation among all demographics.
9. Maintain files and video catalog in an organized and logical way to easily collaborate with team.
10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, tools, best practices, and local community needs.
11. Adhere to established YMCA brand standards.
12. Uphold the mission of the YMCA and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature.
13. Serve as a role model and advocate of the YMCA mission, promise, values, and voice.

KNOW HOW / QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Bachelor’s degree in videography, film production, video editing or a related field is required (or equivilant experience).
2. Three to four (3 4) years of proven experience in video production and editing, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused setting.
3. Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous video projects (required).
4. Proficiency in operating professional video equipment, cameras, audio, and lighting.
5. Strong visual storytelling abilities.
6. Creative thinking and expertise in varied creative shots.
7. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
8. Experience with mobile editing apps.
9. Ability to plan and visualize videos before shooting.
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to diverse audiences.
11. Creative sense that thrives across a variety of genres including quick, short social media videos as well as short-form and long-form documentary style videos.
12. Must be able to handle and meet multiple deadlines and possess strong organizational and project management skills.
13. Good technical understanding and demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly.
14. Perform problem analysis and resolution at strategic and functional levels in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
15. Ability to think and act independently based on established organizational priorities.
16. Strong ability to function as a team-member, with a strong focus on customer service.

In this dynamic and creative role, you'll collaborate with our team to produce high-quality, visually compelling content for social media, digital marketing, and website.
You'll handle everything from filming and lighting, setting up equipment across multiple Y locations, capturing interviews, and documenting Y events.
With a strong focus on creativity, attention to detail, and technical expertise, you'll take projects from beginning to end, ensuring they align with our brand and resonate with our community.
