Patient Intake Coordinator

With a competitive hourly salary of $15 - $16, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our patients.

As a Patient Intake Coordinator, you will be the first friendly face our patients encounter, guiding them through the intake process with care and efficiency.

Compensation : $15 - $16 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Must follow all Privacy Policies and keep protected health information secure.
• Coordinate intake of all new patients including signed privacy notice.
• Coordinate with the Clinical Director on schedule / assigned therapists for all new patients.
• Courtesy to patients, visitors, and associates.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Documentation of all communication with patients, insurance, case managers, etc.
• Collecting fees from cash account patients.
• Keep doctor referrals current.
• Weekly stats of patient visits.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Communications :

• Proper telephone etiquette, technique, and procedures.
• Relaying messages.
• Preparation, maintenance, and retention of general correspondence.
• Operational Activities.

Maintenance :

• Maintain office machines as outlined in the Operations Manual.
• Maintain supportive areas, reception room, front office, etc.
• Clerical, Clinical Records.
• Post, file and prepare for each day, following the established procedures.
• Follow established procedures for new patients.
• Retain properly in safekeeping all clinical records, active and inactive.
• Bookkeeping Responsibilities.
• Verify payment sources for new patients.
• Check therapy logs from staff and ensure that all visits have been posted to the daily sheet.

Qualifications :

• High school graduate.
• Education and Experience : Business College, clerical training, and Medical Office experience are preferred.
• Ability to communicate well with the patients and staff, Bilingual communication skills preferred.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to keep confidential any protected health information and knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy Policy.
