JOB DESCRIPTION

Our A / R & Revenue Accounting Shared Services team is looking for a Director to be responsible for managing both Affiliate, Ad Sales, and miscellaneous A / R and revenue accounting for all FOX business units.

You will also be responsible for coordinating Sox testing, internal & external audits, collaborating closely with our VP, Accounting on special projects related to revenue accounting & A / R systems, and have the opportunity to manage a team of nine staff.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and approve all journal entries related to month-end close
• Manage and oversee the affiliate A / R month-end close process in Coral system
• Manage and oversee ad sales month-end close process in OnAir system
• Manage and oversee month-end close process in Workday ERP system
• Manage and oversee Top 20 AR and Revenue Qtrly reporting
• Manage and oversee Affiliate Revenue by State and City reporting annually
• Review and approve monthly cash tie out to ensure all the cash is booked on time
• Review and approve monthly A / R reconciliations and ensure rec items are resolved on a timely basis
• Review monthly Bank reconciliation and ensure all the bank rec items are resolved on a timely basis
• Analyze A / R & Revenue variances, identify the cause of variance, and make necessary corrections
• Coordinate internal and external audits as well as Sox testing
• Assist and respond to various inquiries and requests from Affiliates, Ad Sales Finance, Tax department, and Credit & Collection teams to help fulfill their goals and complete their work
• Think of ways on how to enhance A / R systems to help improve efficiency & productivity in order for us to absorb the increase in the volume of work
• Coordinate with Credit & Collections in resolving discrepancies to expedite payment
• Meet internal and corporate deadlines
• Special projects and Ad hoc request as needed
• Maintain excellent customer service

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 10+ years of experience in accounting-related work
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, and pivot tables), and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to work with diverse groups of people
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER

• CPA or MBA
• Linear & Digital revenue experience
• Knowledge of foreign currency revaluation process
• Proficiency in Workday softwares
