FishEye Software is looking for an IT Help Desk Technician to join our team. At FishEye, we are passionate about creating mission-critical software and providing real-time access to data that drives successful outcomes for our customers.

As an IT Help Desk Technician, you will be essential in ensuring smooth operations of our Information Technology (IT) systems.

You will provide hands-on troubleshooting and support, focusing primarily on Linux and Windows operating systems, as well as occasional configuration of network components.

This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently on-site at our office, with the flexibility to work remotely on occasion.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma with 4 years of experience, AS / AAS Degree with 2+ years of experience, or BS / BA Degree with 1+ year of experience in a related field
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of basic computer networking
  • Ability to provide Tier 1-2 support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Experience with desktop system support, including hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in handling software installations, networking issues, and user access requests
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Desired Skills

  • Scripting experience for task automation using PowerShell and Bash
  • Experience using DISA SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) and STIG checklists to ensure workstation security compliance
