Director of Accounting

As a Director of Accounting, you will lead the Reporting and SG&A functions of the Victra Accounting team to ensure appropriate accounting and accurate presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reporting.

YOUR FOCUS (JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) :

You will be a business partner for operational leadership within the organization while helping your team establish and maintain a cross-functional accounting and close process that aligns with the goals of the organization.

You are a very thorough person with intellectual curiosity and the highest level of integrity. As a Victra Director of Accounting, you will :

• Manage various accounting functions as needed, including fixed assets, 842 lease accounting, debt and equity, and corporate SG&A, as well as associated analysis and reporting
• Own the financial reporting function, including monthly management and lender reporting and quarterly and annual financials
• Oversee intercompany eliminations and consolidation
• Supervise the accounting team's performance over the close process to meet deadlines
• Technical accounting research, including contract review for accounting implications and documenting findings and recommendations in accounting memos
• Maintain the system of internal controls to adequately safeguard company assets and ensure the accurate presentation of financial statements;

make recommendations for and drive improvement

• Respond to inquiries from Operations and Senior Management team regarding financial results and special reporting requirements
• Assist with PBC packages during financial and operational audits
• Lead / oversee special projects as assigned (e.g., adoption of a new GAAP standard, valuation, bank audits, etc.)
• Ad-hoc analysis of more complex balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals
• Provide regular constructive feedback on performance and development opportunities and address lagging performance in a timely manner

YOUR BACKGROUND (Requirements) :

You bring considerable technical expertise, leadership skills, and independent judgment. You also have strong listening skills and the ability to interact across all levels and functions within an organization.

In addition, you will have the following :

• CPA required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience combined with 1-3 years of supervisory experience. Multi-location or retail experience preferred.

Public / industry combination experience highly preferred

• Proficient in US GAAP and current practices
• Demonstrated advanced skills with Microsoft Office and other accounting software
• Experience with Oracle ERP preferred
• Ethical conduct and ability to maintain extreme confidentiality
