Overview

We are look for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA / NAR) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility! This role provides hands on care and support services for our senior residents at our spacious care center in Minneapolis, MN.

• This caregiver position includes;
• 15 hours every two weeks
• Part time, night shift
• 10pm-6am
• Includes every other weekend and holiday

Responsibilities / Job Description

• Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as; bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights
• Nursing Assistant may per community patient care model check and record vitals
• AM / PM / NOC cares; including peri care and catheter care
• May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons / mechanical assistance
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
• Chart or document in electronic medical record system
• Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns
• Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift
• Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner

Qualifications

Required

Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date - OR- Individual who is hired into Ebenezer's Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer's Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants;

will be granted a 4-month post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.)

Preferred

• Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population
• Communicate efficiently, with compassion and understanding for residents and coworkers
• Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant
• Work experience in a customer service setting
