First Look : Product Director, First Party Data
We are seeking an exceptional Product Director, First Party Data (title to vary with seniority) to lead a team focused on strategy & execution for first-party data across The Arena Group’s portfolio of brands.
You will work closely across stakeholders including Executives, Engineering and Editorial teams, leading projects from ideation to completion.
You will leverage the scale and resources of a successful, well-known business combined with the nimbleness and forward-looking feel of a startup.
Ideal candidates possess big-picture vision yet the drive and attention to detail to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time with customers and evangelizing their needs.
You have a proven track record for driving audience and revenue growth. You have developed and managed products and services that generate meaningful audience engagement.
You are a self-starter, balancing strategic thinking with outstanding execution holding yourself and your team accountable to delivering successful outcomes.
You enjoy solving complex business problems at the core of the digital transformation of a world-leading media company. You are creative and capable of formulating bold product strategies.
The Arena Group’s expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $150,000-$200,000. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, education, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group’s total compensation and benefits available to its employees.

What You’ll DO :
- Own product initiatives that incentivize collection of email addresses and other identifiers
- Collaborate with sales to define first-party data products
- Work with data enrichment vendors to build meaningful customer segments
- Own integrations with identity-matching vendors
- Define and communicate product vision and roadmap for The Arena Group’s first-party data strategy
- Partner with business, editorial, sales, and audience development teams to identify, define, & prioritize new products that drive traffic, subscriptions, and revenue
- Collaborate with designers, editorial, sales, and a centralized development team to define, prioritize, and bring to market new features, and improve and iterate on existing functionality
- Work with the The Arena Group executive team and stakeholders across the business to evangelize and create alignment
- Document, validate and prioritize product specifications within an Agile / SCRUM development environment
What You’ll BRING :
- 10+ years of experience in product management and applicable experience in the advertising industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven history of bringing innovative new products to market
- Several years of experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Agile methodology development
- Comfortable with ambiguity and challenge
