Sr Manager Facilities Operations (Data Center & Administrative Building)

Located in Waukegan, IL this position reports into the Corporate Real Estate Division and is responsible for managing all of the Facilities Operations and the management of equipment and projects at our state of the art Corporate Data Center & Administration Building.

This position will be responsible for power and signal cable, emergency power generation, all HVAC and fresh air systems, fire protection and automatic fire suppression systems, all life safety systems, all landscaping and snow removal, trash and recycling, janitorial services, and construction projects.

Additional key responsibilities will be to maintain the critical facility to a 100% uptime status, always have the building in Class A+ condition and ready for inspections, audits and tours which could randomly occur throughout the year.

Review and coordination with internal and external team members ensuring operational needs, budgets and reporting are being implemented and tracked within established corporate goals and guidelines to determine appropriateness and / or accuracy of results.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 7 years' experience in facilities management & operations, and maintenance or 11 years' experience in facilities management and maintenance with Critical Facility Management and Operations.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Critical Facilities Equipment Management (electrical & HVAC).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, construction software (procore, fieldwire, plangrid) for tracking financials & projects.
• Experience in Facilities Projects; estimating, scheduling, general contracting, sub-contracting, risk assessment / management and project closeout.
• Leadership and proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external team members.
• Proven ability to multi-task, problem-solve and manage time, individually and across teams.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

• People leader with experience managing variety of staff including vendor support, custodial, engineering, electricians, landscaping.
• Must reside within a 45-60 minute travel time to the Waukegan, IL facility is imperative.
• Proven ability to manage a 95,000-square-foot data center and training facility (single-story building) and a two-story office addition of 59,700 square feet.
• Manage outsourced design and operational services and maintain service relationships with outside vendors / contractors related to mechanical, electrical & maintenance needs / issues.
