Client System PerformanceArchitect
Responsible for appliedresearch or advanced engineering in the development of newproducts, materials, or processes. Responsibilities include theassimilation and understanding of the industry and competitiveenvironment for a given technology or product line, and thederivation of a technology / product strategy from this information.
Leads technology investigations, performs a strategic analysis ofthe industry capabilities, and develops recommendations, whichinfluence the technical product strategy and / or definition ofproducts for a given product line, including evaluation ofpotential acquisitions and vendor partner opportunities.
Engagesdesign teams, systems engineering, marketing teams, suppliers, andbusiness unit leaders and executives to ensure the strategy orproduct architecture meets Dell’s requirement of product leadershipfor the given technology area or productline.

Whatyou’ll achieve
As a PerformanceArchitects at Dell, you will be responsible for driving anddefining the performance optimization and benchmarking strategiesof mobile products.
You will work closely with architectsfrom system, thermal, BIOS, EC, and software teams to focus onmaximizing the capabilities of cutting-edge processors and to drivesystem-level decisions ensuring our mobile devices deliver the bestpossible performance, power efficiency, and user experience.
You will also represent the System Performance Architectureteam at cross-functionalreviews.
You Will :
- Establish systemperformance requirements, optimize the product to meet thoserequirements, and validate that the product meets thoserequirements throughout productdevelopment
- Work with internal and externaldevelopment teams to develop, drive, and deliver innovative robustsolutions for PC’s
- Using cutting-edgeperformance metric tools, software optimization techniques, andbenchmarking processes
- Communicate effectivelywith diverse audiences, including technical and non-technicalstakeholders
- Project future performance trendsand develop strategies to meet evolvingrequirements

EssentialRequirements
- Extensiveknowledge of system and x86 processorarchitecture
- Strong understanding of balancingpower, thermals, and acoustics to optimize system performance andthe user experience
- Proven track record ofevaluating the performance impact of new hardware, firmware, and / orsoftware features and providing guidance ontrade-offs
- Experience working with majorsilicon vendors and leveraging their latesttechnologies
- Work independently and thrive in acollaborative, multi-functional teamenvironment
DesirableRequirements
- BS inComputer Engineering or similar field with 7-10+ years ofexperience. Graduate degree is aplus
- Experience with defining and implementingpolicies into ML algorithms for dynamic system performanceoptimization
Compensation
Dellis committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Thesalary range for this position is $187,000 -$242,000.
