Position Overview : We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Laboratory Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field to gain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
The ideal candidate will assist with sample logins, chemical inventory, and general lab support tasks. Basic computer proficiency and strong multitasking abilities are essential.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sample Management : Perform accurate sample logins, documentation, and tracking of laboratory samples.
- Chemical Inventory : Maintain and update chemical inventories, ensuring proper labeling and storage in accordance with safety standards.
- General Lab Support : Assist with routine lab tasks, maintain cleanliness, and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- SOP Adherence : Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lab practices to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Multitasking : Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced lab environment, prioritizing work effectively.
- Data Entry : Use basic computer programs such as Windows and MS Office for data entry and documentation.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline (recent graduates welcome).
- Basic knowledge of lab science, including familiarity with general lab procedures and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently as well as part of a team.
Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Required) :
- Familiarity with chemical safety and lab cleanliness.
- Experience working in a lab setting, even in academic or internship settings, is a plus.
