Plumbing Systems Fabrication Design Engineer

Job Description : Skills Required : AEC experience, REVIT, MEP, piping systems design, plumbing & sprinkler engineering, Modular construction or prefabrication, mid to high rise multi-family projects, or large-scale facilities.

Responsibilities include : Collaborating with architects, manufacturing engineers, and industrial designers to design, develop, and validate prefabricated MEP components.

Using advanced 3D modeling software to design and detail complex building piping systems for fabrication. Generating detailed shop drawings and comprehensive bills of materials for piping systems.

Creating assembly drawings and work instructions for both internal modular assembly processes and external supplier coordination.

Ensuring seamless integration of piping system components with overall building projects by coordinating effectively across teams.

Leveraging experience in systems design to innovate and enhance existing piping solutions. Maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout all phases of work, from planning to execution.

Assisting in defining product requirements, standardized data sheets, and specifications. Developing test criteria and supporting documentation for work instructions.

Supporting Supply Chain in developing qualifying criteria for vendor bid sheets. Reviewing shop drawings and submittals from suppliers and fabricators.

Researching new materials, processes, and industry trends while staying current with construction product standards and code changes.

Additional Qualifications : Degree in engineering or related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in the field. Experience in modular construction or prefabrication.

Familiarity with building codes and regulations, ensuring designs comply with relevant standards. Proficiency in advanced 3D modeling software for piping systems design.

Substantial experience in plumbing & sprinkler engineering, especially in subcontractor roles focusing on building component coordination.

Knowledge and experience in designing and modeling various piping systems including sanitary & vent, sprinkler, storm, domestic hot and cold water, and support hanger detailing.
