Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a VP Sales (Transportation / Logistics) to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Expected starting base salary $150,000 to $200,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business growth and market share objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify and implement innovative sales techniques and tools to enhance the sales process and improve efficiency.
  • Drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing accounts.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, logistics and transportation management systems, CRM software.
  • Deep understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience with supply chain management and logistics solutions.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and closing high-value deals.
  • Experience in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Ability to interpret sales data and market research to inform strategic decisions.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
